Often in life, we need someone who “gets it”. Someone who truly understands what we’re going through and can guide us through the most difficult parts of life. If you’ve been looking for counselors who “get it”, you’ve come to the right place.

How I can relate
Autism affects the entire family. With it comes marital issues, sibling problems, sensory needs, educational struggles, and even depression, anxiety, and grief. I understand first-hand what it means to survive and thrive in the world of autism and the family issues that accompany it. My husband, Joe, and I have been married since 1995; we have two teenage children. Our son, Ben, was diagnosed with profound autism in 2001, and since then, it has been my life’s work to help other parents with similar struggles.

I am a licensed mental health counselor in Florida and owner of Puzzle Peace Counseling, LLC. I founded this practice with your needs in mind to provide families with all of the things I wished were available when I was going through the most challenging parts of my journey.

I have been helping parents of children with Autism Spectrum Issues since 2006. In an effort to meet the specialized needs of autism mommies, I created the Extra-Special Moms Therapeutic Group Counseling Program. This group program has helped hundreds of special-needs moms find the help, connections, and support they need.

I am the creator and host of the Autism Blueprint Podcast, which focuses on navigating autism in the home for families and caregivers.

My Education and Training
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Rowan University in New Jersey (1995) and my Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University (2010). I am fully trained as an EMDR Trauma Therapist, and I enjoy working with parents of neurodivergent kiddos.
