We live in a world where mental health needs are only growing, and our current model does not allow us to meet the need.

As a mental health entrepreneur myself, I talk to podcast guests from all over the world who are doing creative things to address mental health needs. These entrepreneurs, with their unique thinking and business drive, are crucial in tackling the mental health crisis.

The Mental Health Entrepreneur podcast interviews those crafting inventive responses to mental health challenges, focusing on both new and unconventional approaches. Join us to explore the leadership challenges and opportunities in the mental health space and discover how innovative entrepreneurs are addressing the mental health crisis.


Perhaps, the solution to this crisis is to think outside of the box. Rachel believes the creativity, inspiration and motivation of entrepreneurs in the mental health sector is where at least a part of the solution lies.


In each episode, Rachel sits down with entrepreneurs who are doing creative things and thinking outside of the box in order to address mental health. The goal of The Mental Health Entrepreneur is to inspire others to think differently and to explore new ideas, all for the benefit of helping our communities have options and creative solutions to mental health care.

Rachel is a trainer and speaker providing education on trauma treatment, EMDR and Entrepreneurship. She is also the Founder of Trauma Specialists of Maryland, Delaware and Pennsylvania. She is a Certified EMDR Therapist and an Approved Consultant for EMDR Therapy, as well as a trainer, offering EMDRIA approved EMDR trainings nationally.

About Rachel

This led to the development of the Trauma Specialists Training Institute, providing training to mental health clinicians all over the country. Rachel brings 26 years’ experience as a therapist specializing in the treatment of complex trauma and attachment. She is a member of the adjunct faculty at Hood College, providing courses in trauma, EMDR, Group Therapy, and Attachment Theory in Clinical Practice. Rachel works as a consultant nationally to therapists who are learning EMDR and those who are learning to be consultants in EMDR Therapy. Rachel serves as a Consultant for Frederick GRITT, a network of EMDR therapists serving the Frederick community, including first responders, police and firefighters by providing both crisis services and pro bono EMDR Sessions at no cost following exposure to human made or natural disasters. She offers both community and professional training in attachment parenting, working with children, the treatment of trauma, EMDR, dissociation and adoption, among other topics. Rachel is passionate about treating trauma, specifically using EMDR to heal our communities. She is also curious about innovations in mental wellness, leading her to develop The Mental Health Entrepreneur Podcast.
